If you read my book and thought, “I know my friend Jindřiška would love this, but she only reads in Czech,” have I got news for you! Finerman’s Rules has now been translated into several languages, including Czech.
I love the cover of the Czech version for two reasons. One, because my last name in Czech is Finermanová, which makes me sound like a Finerman full of eggs. And two, because the cover reminds me of something I’ve seen before. I just can’t seem to put a finger on it …
Oh, right. My sister Wendy’s movie, “The Devil Wears Prada,” about the highly successful editor of a fashion magazine. Pravidla úspěšné ženy actually translates to “the rules of successful women,” and one of those (unwritten) rules is “find a reason once a year to wear shiny red heels.” Another is, “just remember to bring Band-Aids.”
